Body Count a câștigat Grammy-ul pentru "Best Metal Performance" pentru "Bum-Rush", preluat de pe albumul "Carnivore" de anul trecut. "[Bum-Rush] este o înregistrare inspirată de Public Enemy", a declarat anul trecut frontmanul Ice-T pentru Metal Hammer. „Și beat-urile au sound-ul The Prodigy".
Alte premii anunțate în cadrul ceremoniei au inclus premiul pentru "Cel mai bun album rock", care a revenit albumului "The New Abnormal" de la The Strokes, "Cea mai bună piesă rock" ("Stay High" de la solista Alabama Shakes, Brittany Howard) și "Cea mai bună interpretare rock" ("Shameika" a artistei Fiona Apple). Apple a câștigat, de asemenea, premiul pentru cel mai bun album alternativ pentru "Fetch The Bolt Cutters".
